July 19, 2012
A 4 member team of Journalists from Rajdhani, Samachar-patra, Nepal Weekly and Gorkha-patra took part in the project field observation trip to KTWR from Friday, 13th July till Monday, 16th July, 2012. The exposure trip was led and coordinated by Mr. Laxmi Upadhya, Media Coordinator, CSUWN to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve, a project site and a Ramsar designated site.
The main objective of the visit was to expose and educate media Journalists to various livelihood and conservation initiatives carried out by the project since 2009. The journalists will prepare a thematic write-up and publish it in their respective dailies. It is expected that this will increase awareness of project interventions and achievements at the central level. Similar plan is afoot at GLA.
